Things you might know about me by now:

  1. I get childishly overexcited by robots

  2. I hate laundry

So behold!! The most inevitable video share of the summer!!!

Listen, I know that we're years away from these things being genuinely all-purpose and showing up in someone's house when you go round for dinner. If I had to estimate, I'd say maybe 2035 they'll be broadly (rather than specifically, for single- or dual- roles only) useful.

But that doesn't matter right now, because look! This guy - complete with geezer-y British accent - folds a mean towel. I mean, who wouldn't want this? Just permanently, forever, uncomplainingly folding stuff over and over again.

There will be an ironing one soon. At that point this 'Video of the Week' column will peak, end in style and I'll need to lie down for quite some time.

Until then, sit tight for more robots jousting and driving stuff. With just the occasional one about the ever-tightening attempts of Big Portal to seize all of your data ...
