Yelp’s got a shiny new update, and it’s set to make your life a whole lot easier!
With over 35 updates to its mobile app, Yelp has introduced a more capable AI assistant that’s ready to become your go-to for all things dining and appointments. Whether you're booking a table, scheduling a haircut, or ordering takeout, this assistant's got your back!
Launched in 2024, the Yelp Assistant initially focused on answering questions about service providers. Now, it’s all grown up and can handle reservations, appointment bookings, quote requests, and even takeout and delivery orders. Simply look for the dedicated tab on the homepage, and you’re off to the races.
What makes this assistant stand out? It combines AI efficiency with the authenticity of real user reviews. Craig Saldanha, Yelp’s chief product officer, points out that while AI search is hot, trust in AI-generated summaries is lukewarm. Yelp Assistant bridges this gap by delivering responses based on genuine reviews.
