xAI, Telegram Team Up for Grok Integration

Telegram has inked a deal with Elon Musk's AI brainchild, xAI, to bring the Grok chatbot into its digital fold.
For a cool $300 million in cash and equity, xAI will see Grok distributed and integrated across Telegram's platform for a whole year, as announced by Telegram's CEO, Pavel Durov.
The partnership is a win-win, with Telegram set to pocket 50% of the revenue from xAI subscriptions purchased through the app. Previously, Grok was a treat for Telegram's premium users, but the chatter is that it might soon be available to everyone.
A sneak peek video shared by Durov on X reveals Grok's nifty features. Users can pin Grok to the top of chats and fire off questions from the search bar. It’s a bit like having a super-smart buddy on standby, ready to help with writing suggestions, chat summaries, link reviews, and even sticker creation. Businesses can also tap into Grok's prowess for answering questions and moderating content.
