The great British love affair with staying put is alive and well!
While the world spins on, many of us are firmly rooted in our homes, and not just because of the comfy sofa. So, what’s keeping folks from packing up and moving on?
Firstly, there’s the ever-daunting cost of moving. From estate agent fees to the price of a decent removal van, it’s enough to make anyone clutch their wallet a little tighter. Then there’s the emotional attachment. Who wants to leave behind those perfectly creaky floorboards or the neighbour who always has a spare cup of sugar?
Next up is the fear of the unknown. Moving to a new area means new schools, new shops, and, heaven forbid, new takeaway options. The horror! And let's not forget the paperwork. Mortgages, contracts, and a new address for every bill under the sun – it’s a wonder anyone moves at all.

But perhaps the most charming reason of all? The British weather. Yes, the unpredictable skies can be a dealbreaker. Who wants to risk moving day in a downpour? Not us, thank you very much.
So, while some might dream of greener pastures, many are content with their patch of grass, however soggy it might be. After all, home is where the heart (and the perfect cup of tea) is. Cheers to staying put!
