WhatsApp, the beloved messaging app with over 3 billion users across 180 countries, is taking communication to the next level with its latest feature: message translations.
This exciting addition aims to make cross-language communication a breeze, keeping users connected no matter where they are.
With the new feature, translating a message is as simple as long-pressing it and tapping "Translate." Users can choose the desired language for translation and even save it for future use. This handy tool works across 1:1 chats, groups, and Channel updates, ensuring seamless communication for everyone.
Android users get an extra treat with the option to enable automatic translations for entire chat threads. This means all incoming messages in a conversation can be translated automatically, making multilingual chats smoother than ever.

Privacy remains a top priority for WhatsApp, and message translations are no exception. All translations occur directly on the user's device, ensuring that WhatsApp has no visibility into the content.
The rollout of this feature begins today, gradually reaching Android and iPhone users. Initially, Android users will have access to translations in six languages, including English, Spanish, and Hindi. Meanwhile, iPhone users will enjoy the feature in over 19 languages.
This innovative feature is set to break down language barriers, fostering deeper connections and understanding among WhatsApp users worldwide.
