If you're interested in the future of film-making, this is not a bad point to pause and take stock.
Here is an 11-minute film made entirely of AI. It took 120 hours of graft to make by AI skillsmith Neural Viz. It's a very good mini - some great graphics, consistency, comedy and jeopardy baked-in too. It's clear that AI is getting to a level where we're only a couple of years away from a full-length Hollywood-style blockbuster.
But I think that what it illustrates more than anything is the importance of the human creator in the process. Training yourself up to use this stuff - just like being early to the synthesiser or coding or the wheel - will cement serious economic advantage on you.
In your spare time - because I know we all have so much! - instead of tinkering in your shed or picking up the PS5 controller, have a little play on the likes of Google Veo 3, Nano Banana, ElevenLabs and the like and see what you can create. It's like sketching stuff - no one needs to see it; but it might just surface a skill that you never imagined you had ...
