Video of the Week: 'Pulp Fiction' by Higgsfield

This week I've been trialling Higgsfield, a fresh image to video platform whose key marketing wheeze is to allow you to upload two photos and get those characters to play out an iconic movie scene.


As a muppet.


Or Lego figure.


Or anything else you like.

Think we look a bit too happy. Also gutted that it didn't add John Travolta's greasy long hair to Matt's pate.


It's fun - and these will continue to spring up following ChatGPT-4o's image generation release a few weeks ago that bolstered OpenAI's coffers by billions. But I'm not sure that this is the use-case - or business model - that's going to beat the likes of Runway (and Sora, which OpenAI itself is busy re-hacking and will undoubtedly relaunch soon.)
