Do you remember 'Humans', that show from 2015 all about having robots in the home?

Yeah, this isn't that.

'Memo' a new housekeeping bot from a nice, friendly company called Sunday (not trying to scare the bejaysus out of you like Elon Musk's 'Optimus Prime' army that will make sure you think he's the best at literally everything). Sunday want you to think that they're thinking about your Sundays - so that you can sit on the balcony of your mountainside apartment whilst Memo tidies up your annoying kid's mess.

A video on their website shows Memo moving at 5x speed and it's pretty good. It clears the table, folds some socks, makes an Espresso and It's certainly better at putting the dishes in the dishwasher than X1 (and my kids). With its cartoony face, jaunty hat and trundly wheels it certainly feels less sinister than something that is too facelessly humanoid.

Even at its current speeds you can, apparently, leave it for a few hours to get everything done - like your Roomba but it'll clean the toilet too (only the downstairs one, obvs, as its wheels aren't going to handle stairs unless there's the 'Dalek Cheat' of random flying suddenly introduced.

It's out in beta at the end of next year so do apply to be a 'Founding Family' if you're tired - so tired - of telling your children to make their beds. They say it'll be in the sub-£20k price bracket which makes it among the cheaper ones out there. Still some way to go to catch all of the Chinese models around right now, like Unitree, but certainly an interesting addition to the burgeoning selections that are being built out there.
