Video of the Week: IntelProp from ModelProp

It doesn't feel like a quarter of a century - half a lifetime - ago that I first showed up at a weird flat, above a solicitors' firm on Marylebone Lane in London, to join what became Primelocation.com. It was October 2000, people were only just starting to work out what dotcom meant, and there were six of us that were present that day who would last all the way from pre-launch to £48m exit in 2005.

Investment-backed by estate agents, Primelocation was the last time many agents felt control in the digital space. For much of the twenty years since its sale, I still hear agents mourning its passing, as that led directly to the current Rightmove-dominated landscape that is crushing agent freedom, innovation and - frankly - livelihoods. On my recent Rightmove Resistance Tour of 60 locations across the UK in 60 days, I heard first hand just how hard the relentless RM fee hikes of 10% plus are hurting businesses - and how helpless they feel to do anything about it.

This was the inspiration behind our determination here at ModelProp, to help agents use AI to start to move away from this toxic relationship with the UK's dominant portal. It's why I'm delighted to showcase the first glimpse of what we've been building for agents. Currently known as 'IntelProp' - the full brand will be launched at EA Masters in three weeks time! - I wanted to give newsletter subscribers a sneak peak this Sunday of what's in store.

Watching the short video above, you can a homeowner chatting away with IntelProp's AI. She's explaining her situation and receiving hyper-personal results, tailored for her needs. This is where AI excels - in understanding user requirements and very quickly being able to present options that can then further be finessed according to human requirements.
