So this is the weird-looking 'robot dog' from Boston Dynamics that's been around for a while now but has never been able to do this kind of stuff. As the guy says in the vid, no one needs a robot to be able to do three backflips in a row - is even one backflip ever necessary, unless you're a particularly flexible goalscorer? - but the ability to train it in a lab to do something so complex opens up so many more opportunities in the real world.

It's not quite as elegant as Omari Hutchinson yet - but with others doing Cristiano Ronaldo's 'Siu' this week, we're already starting to build out every variety of goal celebrations. How soon we'll get to Gazza's 'Dentist Chair' remains to be seen ...
