Meta has just jazzed up its AI glasses with a nifty update to help you hear conversations better in noisy places.

Initially available on Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta HSTN smart glasses in the U.S. and Canada, this feature uses open-ear speakers to amplify the voice of the person you’re chatting with. You can adjust the volume by swiping the right temple or tweaking the device settings, making it perfect for bustling restaurants, bars, or even a packed train.

But that's not all! Meta's glasses are also getting a fun update that lets you use Spotify to play tunes that match what you’re seeing. Imagine looking at an album cover and instantly hearing a song by that artist, or gazing at your Christmas tree and being serenaded with holiday hits. While this might be more of a playful gimmick, it shows Meta's creative approach to linking visuals with app actions.

Though the conversation-focus feature is a U.S. and Canada exclusive for now, the Spotify trick is available in English across many markets, including the UK, Australia, and several European countries.

The software update (v21) is first available to those in Meta’s Early Access Program, so hop on the waitlist if you're keen!
