Move over iPhones, it’s time for Macs to steal the spotlight!

Apple’s latest quarter revealed a delightful surprise as Mac sales soared, driven by an unexpected demand for AI workloads. Investors anticipated Mac revenue to hover around the low $8 billion mark. However, Apple reported a dazzling $8.4 billion, marking a 6% increase year-over-year. Talk about a plot twist for a non-core segment!

The MacBook Neo, with its vibrant colours and irresistible charm, played a starring role. Though only on sale for a few weeks, it captured hearts (and wallets) faster than you can say “preorder.” Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, couldn’t contain his excitement, noting that demand for the Neo was “off the charts.” New customers flocked to the Mac, setting records and leaving Cook pleasantly surprised.

But what’s driving this Mac mania? AI, of course! The Mac mini and Mac Studio became the go-to gadgets for running local AI models like OpenClaw. Cook admitted that the speed of customer recognition was beyond Apple’s wildest dreams, causing a delightful supply-demand dance that might take months to balance.

Enterprise demand added more fuel to the fire, with big names like Perplexity choosing Mac for their AI endeavours. Even schools are jumping on the bandwagon, with Kansas City Public Schools swapping Chromebooks for the Neo.

So, while Apple works to meet this unexpected demand, one thing's for sure: Macs are having their moment, and it’s a tech tale we’re all here for!
