At the latest Made by Google event, the tech giant unveiled a fabulous new feature in Google Photos that lets you simply ask the app to edit your snaps.
This nifty functionality is debuting on Pixel 10 devices in the U.S., where users can describe their desired edits using either voice or text. Magic, right?
But wait, there’s more! Google is also rolling out support for C2PA Content Credentials, starting with Pixel 10 phones. This standard boosts transparency about how images are crafted and whether AI lent a helping hand. Whether or not AI is used, C2PA is supported in the Camera app and any photos snapped with it.

The “edit by asking” feature taps into Gemini, allowing you to request changes using natural language. Whether you want to “remove the cars in the background” or “restore this old photo,” Google Photos is at your service. It’s perfect for those who might not be Photoshop wizards but still want to polish their pics.
From lighting tweaks to removing pesky distractions, and even adding creative touches like sunglasses or party hats, the possibilities are endless. Not sure where to start? Just say “make it better,” and Google Photos will wave its magic wand. Plus, it offers handy suggestions and supports follow-up requests for continuous refinement.
Rolling out first on Pixel 10, support for C2PA and “edit by asking” will soon grace Google Photos on iOS and Android. So, grab your Pixel 10 and start chatting your way to stunning photos today!
