Google is set to add a new feature called "Memory" to its AI chatbot, Google Bard. This exciting development is expected to revolutionise the way Bard interacts with users.

Currently, Bard starts every conversation from scratch, offering similar responses to all users. However, the introduction of the Memory feature will allow Bard to store specific details shared by users, enhancing future interactions. The result? A more personalised and efficient chatbot experience.

The Memory feature will allow users to input their preferences or requirements, which Bard will then use to tailor its responses. Imagine telling Bard about your gluten-free diet or food allergies, and the AI chatbot remembering this information. In future conversations, Bard could suggest suitable recipes without needing reminders. This feature is expected to enhance various aspects of the chatbot experience, including travel recommendations and meal ideas, based on users' unique situations.

Once the Memory feature is live, users can access its dedicated page through the left-side menu, where they can add new preferences or delete incorrect or unwanted memories. Users are expected to have control over the information stored in Bard's Memory, allowing them to manage their chatbot experience more effectively.

Addressing privacy concerns, Google Bard will feature a toggle on the left side of the screen that will allow users to easily turn off the Memory function. This option enables users to start conversations without relying on stored memories or ask questions about topics they prefer the chatbot not to remember in future interactions.

The Memory feature promises to make Google Bard more intuitive and user-friendly, while still respecting user privacy. So, prepare for a chatbot experience that truly understands you!
