  • Multiplayer Experiences: Developers can now create real-time multiplayer games and collaborative tools that connect users instantly.

  • Databases and Authentication: The agent detects when an app requires a database or login, and upon approval, integrates Firebase to manage databases and secure sign-ins.

  • Modern Web Development: The agent utilises modern web tools, automatically installing solutions like Framer Motion for smooth animations or Shadcn for professional icons.

  • Service Integration: Developers can connect prototypes to real-world services, securely integrating APIs using the new Secrets Manager.

  • Session Continuity: Apps now remember user progress across devices and sessions, allowing seamless continuation of work.

  • Enhanced Agent Capabilities: The agent now offers a deeper understanding of project structures and chat history, enabling quicker iterations and precise code edits.

  • Next.js Support: In addition to React and Angular, Next.js apps are now supported, selectable via the updated “Settings” panel.

Google AI Studio's new experience has already facilitated the creation of hundreds of thousands of apps internally. Future updates promise more integrations, such as connecting Google Drive and Sheets. These enhancements aim to streamline the path from idea to a deployed, production-ready app. Developers are encouraged to explore the new features in Google AI Studio today.
