Google is sprinkling some AI magic into Gmail and its Workspace suite, and it's called Gemini!

This new side panel is here to help you stay on top of your emails, summarising threads and even drafting new ones. Imagine having a personal assistant that offers “proactive prompts” and answers your “freeform questions.” Gemini is built on Google’s top-tier models, like Gemini 1.5 Pro, ensuring you get the best AI assistance.

But wait, there’s more! These nifty features are also rolling out to Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive. Remember when Google teased these at I/O last month? Well, they’ve delivered!

However, there’s a catch. These shiny new tools are only available to paying customers. You’ll need to be a Google Workspace customer with a Gemini Business or Enterprise add-on, a Gemini Education or Education Premium add-on, or a Google One AI Premium subscriber. So, if you’re not already on one of these plans, it might be time to consider an upgrade.

A word of caution: while Gemini’s capabilities are impressive, it’s wise not to rely solely on AI for critical tasks. AI can sometimes “hallucinate,” so double-check any important emails before hitting send.

And if you’re wondering about future updates, Google has more AI features in the pipeline for Gmail, including the much-anticipated “Contextual Smart Reply.”

So, property professionals and business owners, are you ready to let Gemini lighten your email load and boost your productivity? It’s time to embrace the future with a little help from AI!
