Elon Musk is back with another out-of-this-world plan, and this time, it's all about the moon.

At a recent xAI meeting, Musk pitched the idea of a lunar industry complete with a moon supply chain and a mass-driver launcher—think space catapults for AI satellites!

Musk envisions a self-growing city on the moon within a decade, a shift from his earlier Mars-first ambitions. The moon's lower gravity and lack of atmosphere make it the perfect playground for Musk's mass driver, a high-speed electromagnetic launcher that could fling payloads into orbit. It's a concept that's been floating around space engineering circles for years, and Musk is ready to give it a go.

But what exactly will be built first? A tiny lunar factory or an entire self-sustaining city? The latter would require everything from power systems to life support, and let's not forget the challenge of fixing things when the nearest hardware store is 238,000 miles away!

Meanwhile, Musk has big plans for X, aiming for over a billion daily users. Currently, the platform has about 600 million monthly users, but Musk is dreaming big with a future of payments and services.

In true Musk fashion, his vision is audacious and cohesive: grow the app, build the compute, and if Earth gets tricky, head to the moon. It's a cosmic adventure only Musk could imagine!
