Ladies and gentlemen of the property and business world, hold onto your hats because OpenAI has just given ChatGPT a personality makeover!

Yes, you heard it right. You can now adjust ChatGPT’s enthusiasm level, warmth, and even its emoji game. It’s like giving your virtual assistant a mood ring!

This new feature, announced by OpenAI on social media, allows you to navigate the Personalization menu and choose from options like More, Less, or Default. Whether you fancy a chat that's as bubbly as a glass of champagne or as straightforward as a British cuppa, the choice is yours. This is on top of the existing tones like Professional, Candid, and Quirky that were rolled out last November.

The journey to this feature has been a rollercoaster. Earlier this year, an update was rolled back for being too “sycophant-y” (we’ve all met one of those, haven’t we?), and GPT-5 was later tweaked to be warmer after complaints of it being a bit too frosty.

However, not everyone is popping the champagne. Some academics and AI critics are waving caution flags, suggesting that overly affirming chatbots might create addictive behaviours, impacting mental health. So, while you’re busy customising your chatbot’s charm, remember to keep it balanced—like a well-structured property portfolio!

So, what are you waiting for? Dive into the Personalization menu and let your ChatGPT reflect your style, whether you’re closing a deal or just having a natter. Cheers to more personalised AI interactions!
