Apple’s AI ambitions are expanding beyond iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the tech giant is now focusing on bringing its Apple Intelligence features to Vision Pro headsets. This move, while not entirely unexpected, aims to enhance the already impressive but pricey Vision Pro with AI capabilities.
Apple Intelligence includes a suite of features such as an improved Siri, proofreading tools, and custom emojis. Given its importance to Apple’s future, it makes sense to extend these features to all of Apple’s latest gadgets. However, integrating these features into the Vision Pro presents unique challenges. Apple needs to rethink how these AI functionalities will appear in a mixed reality environment, as opposed to a traditional screen.

Don’t expect to see Apple Intelligence on the Vision Pro this year, though. The company is still working out the kinks. Meanwhile, Apple is also making changes to how it demos the Vision Pro in stores. Potential buyers will soon be able to view their personal media on the headset, and the headband is being upgraded from the Solo Loop to the Dual Loop for added comfort.
In other exciting news, renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has shared some juicy rumours. His latest supply chain survey suggests that Apple plans to mass-produce AirPods with infrared cameras by 2026. These futuristic AirPods could offer new spatial audio experiences and gesture controls when paired with the Vision Pro.
