AMD is making waves at Computex 2025 with the launch of the Radeon AI Pro R9700, a powerhouse PCIe 5.0 graphics card designed for professional and workstation users.
This card is set to take on Nvidia's dominance in the AI market with its impressive specs and performance.
Built on the RDNA 4 architecture, the Radeon AI Pro R9700 is packed with the Navi 48 silicon, boasting a die size of 357 mm² and housing a staggering 53.9 billion transistors. Despite being 33% smaller than its predecessor, Navi 31, it maintains 93% of its transistor count, thanks to TSMC's N4P (4nm) FinFET process node.
With 64 RDNA 4 Compute Units and 4,096 Streaming Processors, the R9700 offers a significant performance uplift over the previous generation. It peaks at 96 TFLOPS in FP16 performance and delivers 1,531 TOPS of AI performance, making it a formidable contender against Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5080.
