Microsoft has unveiled the preview of Copilot Health, a groundbreaking tool designed to unify health data into a cohesive, insightful experience. Announced in March, Copilot Health has been in development with the help of thousands of users, refining its capabilities to link health records and provide clearer insights into personal health.

Now available to Microsoft 365 Personal, Family, and Premium subscribers in the US aged 18 and over, Copilot Health aims to deliver a personalised view of health. Users can connect wearables like Apple Health and access comprehensive records from over 50,000 US provider organisations. This integration offers a full picture of one's health and wellness, all within a secure, dedicated space.

Copilot Health is built with a focus on safety and security. Conversations remain private, with data encrypted and not shared for AI training. Developed with input from over 250 physicians worldwide, the platform incorporates safety guardrails to prevent misinformation and promote wellbeing. It adheres to Microsoft's responsible AI principles and has achieved ISO/IEC 42001 certification for its AI management standards.

The initiative has received praise from the National Health Council for its patient-centred approach, involving patients, caregivers, and advocates in its development. While Copilot Health is currently in preview and not intended to replace professional medical advice, it represents a significant step towards trusted digital health experiences.

Microsoft plans to expand access over time, with availability subject to change as user feedback shapes the service. Copilot Health is accessible online at Copilot.microsoft.com/health, offering a promising glimpse into the future of AI-enabled healthcare.
