And relax ... into AI meditation

Updated: Dec 11, 2023

Here's something that can help you in your day-to-day - a personalised AI meditation app called Ogimi.

It uses machine learning to tailor meditations to your specific circumstances. You can input your current emotional state, desired mood, goals, or specific challenges you're facing and it will float off gently and come back with just the right session to get where you want to go.

It's a neat idea and its mission - to help everyone achieve mental and emotional wellbeing - can't really be argued with. However, there will always be a question over whether something so personal, so +human+ as 'wellbeing' can really be promoted by something as functional as an AI. That said, there is a growing body of evidence that AI can be as empathetic, if not more, than doctors and others in the caring professions.

If one area of AI is working to give us more time to ourselves, then perhaps it's only right that another area is working to help us use that time for self-care. This is likely to be just the start of a huge industry - perhaps the challenge will become remaining calm when being assaulted by way too many options in the future.

If it's of interest to you, I'd suggest just selecting one - and then relax ...
